TMJ Complimentary 2nd Opinion
Hello, this is Dr. Howard Dean, DDS and I specialize in treating TMJ Disorders. Are you in need of a “2nd Opinion” about your TMJ Disorder? I welcome the opportunity to provide you with a complimentary second opinion consultation appointment with me.
TMJ is a serious condition and should be handled with the upmost level of care. Every case is different and based on the unique needs of each patient, no two treatment plans will be alike.
What is a 2nd Opinion?
Patients have a right to getting a 2nd opinion regarding your diagnosis and potential treatment plan. A 2nd opinion is characterized by consulting with another doctor to confirm a recent diagnosis and/or to find possible alternative treatment options for you.
In my experience, TMD and TMJ issues are often misdiagnosed by primary physicians and can lead to improper treatment, the wrong specialists, and significant health costs. Often times, general dentists can make this mistake as well. TMJ care requires highly specialized training, making it important to consult a 2nd opinion if you’re experiencing one or more of the symptoms. Unfortunately, frequently patients can be diagnosed improperly, making second opinions a crucial step in ensuring you’re receiving the proper care and issuing appropriate health spending.
Specialized Training for TMJ
I have completed advanced training in the diagnosis and treatment of complex patient cases involving degenerating chewing systems using Bioesthetic Principles.
I have completed and graduated Level 4 at The OBI (Orognathic Bioesthetics International) Foundation for Bioesthetic Dentistry, which focuses on complete dental restorative treatment for patients who have (TMJ) temporomandibular joint issues.
The technical ability to provide this specialized level of care as a result of completing Level 4 at The OBI Foundation for Bioesthetic Dentistry is shared by less than 500 dentists worldwide.
I’m truly excited about the new opportunities from achieving the Level 4 training curriculum and look forward to treating complex patient cases involving degenerating chewing systems and creating beautiful new teeth that function properly and look amazing.
Why Should I Get A 2nd Opinion?
A second opinion can validate the reasons behind a certain course of action, reveal new information, or provide answers to lingering questions. I am eager to help you onto the path of recovery.
